Glastonbury Rumours

With Glastonbury now less than a week away and rumours over the secret sets flying round everywhere, we thought we’d join in with our own!

The Gaps

The Park Stage, Saturday at 11.30am

There is a 40 minute slot free at The Park Stage on Saturday morning, could this be a secret set for some early risers?

The Park Stage, Saturday at 18.15

The Park Stage has been host to some legendary secret sets over the years including performances from Radiohead, Biffy Clyro, Elbow, Pulp and who could forget the 2008 Last Shadow Puppets performance here where Miles and Alex where joined by Matt Helders and Jack White part way through. Could this free Saturday evening slot be another one of these moments?

John Peel Stage, Saturday at 22.30

Arguably Glastonbury’s 3rd most important stage, yet there is no headline for the Saturday night as of yet… 2017 saw The Killers perform a secret set here, I wonder who we can expect this year?

Arcadia’s Pangea, Saturday at 2am

An hour long slot is free here, could this be a surprise DJ set? Who knows, maybe the spider will come back

The Rabbit Hole, Friday 12.45am

45 minutes of mystery at the Rabbit Hole, could this be a space for a surprise set?

Our Predictions

The Strokes

We’re not sure whether they’ll be in the UK or not over Glasto (they play Poland the week after so there’s potential) but wouldn’t a secret set at Glastonbury fit in perfectly to their global comeback this year? We hope so anyway…

Foals

According to their schedule The Foals are set to be in the UK next week, and there is a gap in their tour dates between Thursday 27 June – Tuesday 2nd July… looks pretty convenient to me!

The Spice Girls

Their UK tour wrapped up on Saturday so they’ll have some free time before their show in Finland on July 12th. They’ve been rumoured since the beginning and there was even claims they had actually been asked to play. Could a Spice Girls surprise set be one of Glastonbury’s worst kept secrets?

Jaded Hearts Club Band
